have After the grueling migrations of the last days we indulged us a day off and visit the thermal baths in Bad Gleichenberg, Ca. one hour overland trip from Graz away. The spa is located outside in a spa environment with lots of greenery around it. Ideal to relax a bit.
The complex with a hotel, health spa, spa, restaurant, etc. was designed by Norwegian architecture firm JSA Jensen & Skodvin Arkitektkontor and only recently opened.
So it's all still very new. Here and there a cable has looked out of the wall or missing a plug, but such trifles were the exception. By and large, the spa is very well done. Of the materials are greatly reduced, wood and stone dominate the overall picture.
Since everything is very new, and we were on Monday there was not much going on, sometimes we were all alone. The bathroom has a large indoor pool with various massage stations and a 25-meter track. Outside, there is still a pool with thermal water (salty) and more jets. Thats has given an indoor whirlpool, and massive beds to relax.
The sauna was great, almost luxurious. At the reception we have first of all an halbnakter chicken outfit in the sauna, so flip flops and Body Wraps, we picked up and, after Lisa's question how everything here works, explains the whole sauna area. In addition to various saunas (infrared, steam bath, bio sauna and Finnish sauna), there was a small buffet snacks, dry fruits, fresh water and nuts. Towels gabs so much as wanted. Since we, as previously mentioned, from time to time alone were in the spa, sauna gabs then the conclusion of the tour a "private infusion" for Lisa and me in the Finnish sauna.
After almost nine hours of total relaxation, we are finally home, so to Graz, down (half-blind but because it was pouring down with rain and the windshield is a little Twingo malad).
Until then, Lisa and Arnold
